Being an adult isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Frankly, it’s rather annoying and a pain in the ass. As a teenager or kid, you think it’s all fun and games but it’s not. It has its perks but it’s horrible. In order to prove my point, here are some things that make being an adult suck.
- Bills- Bills are the worst thing in the world. Especially, student loans because all those do is get larger if don’t pay more than what is expected. But if you pay more than expected, you really can’t afford to do anything. Bills just eat away all your money and set the tone for the rest of your life: you’re going to work your damn ass off in order to make money.
- Money- Sure, you have job but nothing works without money. But you don’t have much of that because of bills. Then you need to eat and drink in order to survive so there goes some more money. In order to get a job, you need a car and gas cost money too so there the remaining amount. It’s an never-ending cycle of pain. You will always need money and when you don’t have, you can’t have a life.
- Freedom- Yes, this might look like a good thing but it’s not. It’s too much sometimes because you can control your life so if something sucks, it’s your fault. No one else told force you to do that thing that sucks. Then if you are bored, you have so many choices because you have freedom.
- Responsibility- This is annoying because you have to be responsible for your actions, this goes back to freedom. This means you have to think about what you are doing and how that action will have consequences on things. Like you have the freedom to have sex with many people, this requires you have the responsibility to use protection in order to not to get pregnant or a disease. But still, that’s not safe because you could end up with a baby, gonorrhea, or both! Then you are responsbile for another human that you may/may not be ready for and telling people you had sex with that you have gonorrhea.
Do you see how horrible being an adult is? It’s not fun. It’s annoying.
