Last Month, One Direction released their latest album entitled “Made in the AM.”
Honestly, it was a rather refreshing album. I wasn’t a big fan of their last two album, mainly due to the fact it seemed like it was the Liam, Harry, and Zayn show with guest appearances by Niall and Louis. It felt more like a group album because everyone is heard and is showcased where it didn’t feel like one overpowered the others. It was also more pop, like how “Up All Night” and “Take Me Home.” Don’t get me wrong “Four” and “Midnight Memories” wasn’t bad albums, it just they felt….let’s be real: It felt like they were trying to Zayn in the group to be slightly less poppy.
“Perfect” is one of my favorites of the album, mainly due to it’s tongue and cheek knock at T-Swizzle, also it’s rather catchy. Sidenote: if you haven’t heard the stripped version of “Perfect,” you are missing out because it’s the shiz. Their ode to hookups, “Temporary Fix,” is another favorite of mine…it’s just a fun song.
Lyrically, it’s one of their strongest albums. 1D’s self written songs haven always been great but this album’s lyrics take it to another level
The only complaint I have with the album is that the placement of the songs is slightly off. Like it could be a catchy pop song then 4 ballads then back to a catchy pop song with not really a transition song (like a catchy pop ballad that isn’t too fast nor too slow). That is just me being picky too.
I highly recommend this album, especially if you are new to 1D, because it’s the perfect album to go on a “hiatus” on.

One Direction released their second single of their newest album “Made in the AM” and oh, boy. It’s a new classic. It’s the new PYT (give your self a high-five if you got the reference!).
“Perfect” is pretty much the boys poking fun at love songs and the people who use them to get back at scorn lovers *cough*Taylor Swift*cough*. The best part is they literally call out her out in the song. It’s a grand ole single.
The vocals are great like “Drag Me Down” and it’s great that you can hear everyone on the song and not just Harry, Liam, etc.
Here the song for your ears to partake in!

Today is a day that will live in infamy for the directioners, One Direction announced that they would be taking an “hiatus” in March 2016, after the release of their fifth album.
According to People, the band is planning on taking at least an year off from being band in order for them to working on “solo projects.” Like any band “hiatus,” I like to take to twitter and look at what the fans are says. Here’s some of tweets about the hiatus:
It’s been a rough day for them, but this is what happens when The Ginger Spice Effect takes a band. I would also like to point out that I called it. Like everyone not obsessed, I totally called their break up. It’s all thanks to The Ginger Spice Effect. The same thing occurred with NSYNC back in the early 2000s. They said they were going to take a “break” and they never came back official. Every band/artist, it’s a way of life and it’s not going to change.
One Direction took to the dead of night to release the music video for their newest single “Drag Me Down.” It’s their first single/video since Zayn Malik left the band back in March.
It’s pretty obvious when you listen to the song that it was originally written to include Zayn in it because of the fact you can feel/hear the part that was written for him. Niall does shine in the song because he is doing the Zayn parts. Also, all the members are actually singing in it and you can tell the difference. That right is like a miracle because it’s usually Liam, Harry, and Zayn.
The video features 1D going through their training as NASA prepares to send them into space. I would also like to point out that it’s rather a slap to the face of Lance Bass that One Direction will be able to go into space and he won’t. In between training for space, they also have time to perform the song in an open storage area, kinda like how the Backstreet Boys did in the “I Want It That Way” video. The video was okay. It wasn’t anything to be like “OMG” at. I’m not going to lie, it kind of doesn’t make any sense why NASA would send 1D into space when you have Lady Gaga and Lance Bass just dying to go up. That was just random.
Overall, the song is a good catchy song. Not one of their best song, but it’s still a good song. I’m big on it just because everyone’s voice stands out in it. The video is bland and just random.
Here’s the video for your eyes to enjoy:
