It’s official, the summer of secrets has begun and our lives will be consumed with the game of Big Brother until September. 12 houseguest have entered the house along with 4 returning houseguest and it’s been a hectic first week. This doesn’t contain who is on the block, the new competition, or anything besides the first HOH. That will be in the next recap. Before we get into the drama, let’s meet the houseguest!

Let’s meet the four returning houseguest:

The twist

Besides the returning houseguests, Julie Chen announced that the houseguest will be playing in teams for the first part of the game (let’s be real; this twist will ended around week 3). The teams competed in three competitions; The first comp was to pick which team would be safe for two evictions that was won by Team Unicorn (Victor, James, Natalie,Bronte). The remaining three competed with the losing team would compete against each other to see who would be the first evicted and would pick who would be the first HOH. Big Sister (Da’Vonne,Jozea,Paul, and Zakiyah) and Category 4 (Bridgette, Frank, Michelle, Paulie) became safe in the second comp. Freakazoids (Nicole, Corey, Glenn, and Tiffany) competed and Glenn was sent packing and Nicole becoming the first HOH.

Newbies vs Returners

Led by Paul “the loud mouth,” the some of the newbies are gunning for the heads of James, Nicole, Da’Vonne, and Frank. Apparently they don’t know that this never ends well for them. But this was a first a secret plan but then Jozea and all of them spilled everything to everyone and sung like a canary. Yeah. Paulie, Tiffany, and Corey got on the right idea to work with them.

Corey, a goat, and a hashtag

So far, Corey is our first controversy of the season. He told a story about watching one of his fraternity try to light a goat on fire. yes, you have read that right. To top it off, it’s also used gay/homophobic slur on twitter and keeps saying he’s not gay in the house like being gay is a bad thing. He also said he was going to beat the you know what out of Nicole….yeah, the internet is having a field day. They have asked for him to be expelled from the game and other things that more than likely isn’t going to happen.

Like I said, this is just a rundown and I’ll get into the rest after the eviction on Thursday.

Summer of twist is almost here

bb small

On June 22, it’s officially the start of the newest season of the CBS reality show “Big Brother.” As we eagerly wait for the twistedly twisted twist full summer of twist and the first ‘But First,’ it’s time to prep ourselves that way we are prepared for the show that has more twists than something twisty (let’s make a drinking game: everytime, I say twist-you take a drink).

You need to let your friends, family, and co-workers know that you will be un-reachable for the summer because let’s be real-the live feeds is where it’s at. It’s where you see all the uncensored goodness. You time will be locked onto the feed whether that be on the computer, a stream device, or your phone.

Then you need to play your night around the show schedule so you can be there, especially for all the live evictions because it’s becomes a fun game to say “It’s official, insert houseguest has been evicted from the Big Brother house” along with Chenbot, also known as Julie Chen. It’s also fun when she gives them a curve ball that makes their heart stop.

After you do that, prepare to look at the cast and judge the living hell out of them based on their profiles and pictures. Don’t pick a favorite because it will end up changing once they enter the house and open their mouth. People that you thought you would like (*cough*Frankie Grande*cough*), you end up wanting to punch in the face with a glitter bomb. Especially when they do their twistedly sarcastic and over acted reaction to the summers twistedly twisted twist of the summer of twists. Then don’t get too attached because they will end up leaving in the first couple of weeks because they are too legit for the house like our girl Audrey last summer.

Finally, expected the unexpected emotions because you will feel the feels, especially when your fave wins, gets nominated, wins/loses veto, and goes home (just plan on your favorite to go home. Also plan on having multiple). It gets intense, especially when you hear the words “House Meeting” because that means it’s going down like the Titanic (still too soon?).

Hopefully this help you plan and prep for the summer of twist. Big Brother season 18 will begin on Wednesday, June 22 at 8 pm. The cast will be revealed on Monday, June 13. Just remember this:

The queen has fallen in a less than twisted week

I know, I missed a week but hey, I was too busy celebrating that Jeff left the house. But hey, I’m here now to talk about what has been a less than twisted week but still eventful week. Here’s my thought on the houseguest:

Audrey: paranoia has taken her 🙁

Austin: He needs to think less with his penis and more with his brain

Becky: She’s still here!?!

Clay: the new douche of the week.

Jackie: She’s still in the house???

James: He’s funnier now that but still annoying

Jason: dude, wtf!?!

John: I’m pretty sure he’s the smartest person in the house at the moment

Liz/Julia: They are playing Austin and it’s hilarious

Meg: I find her to be growing more annoying every minute of the game.

Shelli: Clay’s pawn…or is he her pawn?

Steve: That creepy uncle that just sit there and watches

Vanessa: 2nd smartest person in the game

The breakdown of this week:

  • Shelli and Liz/JuliawinHOH this week
    • Shelli nominates Jason and John
    • Liz/Julia nominates James and Jackie
  • The plan of the week was to get Jason out because AudreytoldShelli that he was coming after him.
    • Shelli and Jason discussed this and found out that Audrey was trying to stir the pot. This will comeback later on this week…oh, spoiler alert!
  • DuringtheBoTB, James and Jackie dethrone Liz/Julia
    • This resulted in Liz/Julia, John, and Jason to form a boyband called “Wackstreet Boys”
  • Vanessa wins the POV and that is when hell takes form in the house.
    • Clay and Audrey have a massive argument.
    • Audrey and Vanessa have a massive argument
    • Audrey sells out her alliance members.
  • There is a massive house meeting about Audrey where they decided that she needs to go this week
  • Audrey spent almost 6 hours in the diary room the day of the POV meeting.
  • Vanessa uses the POV of Jason
    • Shelli nominates Audrey, who decides to sit out the meeting.
      • Fun fact: she told Audrey that she will see why she did it but really Audrey really wasn’t a threat.
  • Audrey spends the next days in her own personal sequester from the house
  • Audreyis evicted from a vote of 10-11
    • Austin/Judas voted to evicted John
    • Audrey had a penalty vote for eating normal food and not giving a flying f***
  • Jackie and Vanessa win the next HOH

So let’s get this out right of the bat. I agree with the eviction of Audrey because everyone has their time, but I don’t agree with the way they when about it. Was it really necessary to have a house meeting singling out a houseguest and then not have the houseguest there?? That was bad judgement on their part. It was also border line bullying based on a person’s definition of the term.

While I like Audrey, I’ll be the first to admit that she dug her own grave. I hope she comes back because that week will be the most intense night of the season.
