Peach isn’t just a princess anymore

There’s a new app on the market called “Peach.” Currently it’s only on the iOS marketplace but it’s taking the world by storm. It’s everything that you want to do on Facebook and Twitter but simplified.

How it works is you download the app and it allows you to message your friends on their and pretty much gives you updates on the people you add. Like instead of having everyone on that you know where you are at on Facebook. You can add your clique and just let them know and then you can draw them pictures, share GIFs, and much more. Pretty much, it’s your own personal social media for you and your friends.

It sounds like the perfect alternative to having people of Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter. You could use it for your co-workers, mistresses, teammates, etc.

Mobile Game Review: Let’s do some crack!

Trivia Crack

Have you ever had just wanted to do a bunch of crack for a day just to see what is like? Well, if you are then we have a game-and a counselor-for you!

Game is called “Trivia Crack” and it’s pretty much like the board game “Trivial Pursuit.” For those who don’t know what “Trivial Pursuit” is, it’s a game where you answer questions and get little triangles for answer the questions right. When you collect all of them, you win the game. This is the premise of “Trivia Crack.”

It’s gets very addicting because you play until you get one long. After 3 wins, you get a chance to challenge or play for an icon in a category. If you challenge, you allow your opponent to play for the piece it and put up some of your pieces as a wager. So this game creates a gambling addicting and a drug addiction all in one.

To top it all off, it also has lifelines like “Who Wants to be a Millionaire” minus Regis Phillbin (old school Millionaire not the crappy Syndication version).

What’s not working for this game? There is no staying power for this game. It will soon become like Words Like Friends, and games like that.

Overall, the game is a fun game to play. It tests your knowledge and it creates a friendly competition.

Apple to Android

For the last 3 years, I have used an iPhone. I’ve used a iPhone 4 and a iPhone 5 as my phone of choice and thought of it as the greatest piece of technology since the invents of computers. I like how simple and easy it made using a smart phone. Apple blew my mind with the release of iOS 7 (let’s be honest for a moment and admit that it is one of the beautifully done interfaces design so far). But then I got an Android tablet and then that changed my world like Del Taco changed Rob Kardashian’s world and waistline. I enjoyed the widgets and how I could view the whether or Facebook without having to open an app or pull down my notification screen. It wasn’t until I realized just how much I could customize an Android truly was compared to my iPhone. Then I decided when I upgraded my phone last month that I was going to take the plunge and get an Android phone- a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to be exact. Since then, I have not regretted it at all.

There wasn’t any culture shock (even with my tablet being out of date). I’ve come to learn that Apple is extremely behind on what smartphones can truly do. While their products are top of the line, there should be not reason why Apple still doesn’t have some of the features that Androids have to some degree. While I miss the design of the user interface (I’m eagerly waiting for my Note 4 to be able to get the Android 5.0.2 update), and the lovely Siri, I’m very happy with my choice to go Android.

So I know what you are now thinking fateful reader- Steven, what the hell is the point of this blog? Well, the point of this blog is to kind of let people know there are other things out in the world to explore and to see if you like. I would have never learn what I was missing out technology wise if I didn’t what my gut was telling me to try.

While I know that switching phones is a probably a  horrible excuse for this but it’s true when people say to explore things around to see what the world has to offer you. Like this blog post, it’s something different then what I normal do on this site. Usually it’s me just posting, more than often not posting, reviews or articles about pop culture and not something where I’m just kind of writing for the hell of it. There will probably be more of this because frankly, I had fun writing it and it something different to enjoy.

So moral of this post: Try new and different things out and enjoy the little things that life has to offer you.

Flappy Bird death creates void that crappier versions try to fill

Flappy Bird cyber

As you probably have heard- Flappy Bird is no longer available for download (click here for my review on it). As the world goes into Flappy Bird withdrawals, the app creators of the world decided to get the simplicity of the game and make really stupid versions of it. Here are my personal favorites (they are really stupid).

When I first saw this, I first thought that it was just a joke and thought “Fall Out Boy isn’t that much of a sell out” and then I remember that it was Fall Out Boy that we were talking about and they would be the band to do this. The game called “Fall Out Bird” is pretty much the head of the band members magically spurting wings (I wonder if my head will do that once it’s detached from my body) and having to dodge guitar’s head stock (the top of the guitar where the stings end out for those of you that aren’t guitarist). While it’s only out for Android devices now, I really don’t see it going that far because well….it’s Fall Out Boy. And it’s a pretty stupid game. Sadly, It’s not most stupid knock off on this list.

If this doesn’t get pulled from Google Play, it will be a miracle. “Clumsy Bird” is what I would expect to come out if “Angry Birds” and “Flappy Bird” had an angry flappy baby.  The best part of the game is that it doesn’t even try to hide that the game’s bird is based on the red Angry Bird.  Is it that bad of a game that the creators of “Angry Birds” just don’t care or do they feel bad for the little app that realistically sucks?

This game is just one big piece of crap (literally). “Happy Poo Flap” makes “Fall Out Bird” look like a genius game. The sad part is that it’s actually a better game than the original “Flappy Bird”.  You pretty much take this flying piece of crap through different levels and collecting coins and then cash them in for new characters and accessories. The even sadder part is that Happy Poo is actually what one make consider a mobile game franchise that isn’t in the toilet yet (making potty jokes is actually kind of fun). Maybe this little turd is what “Flappy Bird” creators should look at when they consider making the flappy sequel.

Our last knock off features everyone’s second favorite One Direction Member- Harry Styles (Niall is everyone’s favorite). Instead of making through holes, you must guide young Styles as he jumps, or dives, off a cliff in “Harry Dive” (that sounds like a porno). Now is it just me or doesn’t it seem like who every made this game wants Styles to know that they want him gone? Either way, the game is strange and a little bit weird (mainly for the person diving off a cliff aspect of the game and you helping them). It’s not the strangest, probably Happy Poo takes that flush, but it’s up there on the strange meter.
